Advantage Tours & Charters (established 1991) is the licensed permit holder for boat-based whale watching in the St Lucia section of iSimangaliso, and runs the well-known double-decker "Advantage Cruiser" ferry — fitted with bar and toilet — on the estuary.

Their two-hour hippo-and-crocodile estuary cruise takes in hippos, crocs and abundant birdlife, while seasonal ocean trips (roughly mid-May to mid-December) approach migrating humpback whales as close as 50 m. Further offerings include dolphin and marine eco cruises, deep-sea fishing charters, and Cape Vidal and cultural tours.
